Knoxville Voice visited the festive atmosphere of Market Square to ask readers: "What are your holiday plans?"
"Work. I work on Christmas Eve. I'm just going to visit family. I have three places I have to go."
"My plans are to work. That's about it."
"Go to my family's house and eat and exchange gifts and stuff."
"I'm going from here to Washington, D.C., then to New York City for a day. Then my destination is Boston. Then I will be going back to my country, Taiwan."
"What's the best Halloween costume you've seen or worn?'
"The best one I've seen was an old head connected to a pole in the back with a fake head. It made it look like you were 10 feet tall. They had a long coat with their head inside, it looked like the Grim Reaper."
"A good one that i saw last year was a group of students dressed up as a SWAT team. They would break into parties acting like they were the cops. It freaked everybody out. The craziest thing I have worn was a plain mask that didn't have any emotion. No one could see the expression on my face."
"One time I was a road for Halloween. I was black, and I put yellow stripes down it and Velcroed little cars."
"A skunk, my son is going to be a skunk this year. This is the best I've ever seen."
